520 Slick on April 30, 2018

Today, I had attempted to surprise Tim at 321 Kiteboarding by going out past the channel without him knowing it. He was out teaching when I first got here. But by the time I was heading to the water he had already brought his student in.  He loves it that I can now go out past the inner channel. This thing doesn't look like much
But, as you can see, I have a great Dry Bag that I got at 321 Kiteboarding the other day. Well worth the investment, thank you Ro.

There were at least 3 foilers out here today. Being on the other side of the channel allowed me to get better pictures of them than in the past. One of them was getting some additional training from Good Breeze.

Here is Tim from 321 taking a student out.

and a few more before I called it a day

It was kinda a slow day for me, just under 200 pics taken. If you do not see all the ones you are hoping for, let me know and I'll do my best to get them to you. Sometimes the camera decides to focus on a wave that photobombed you, or I was a little slow tracking your jump and might have cut off your head, or zoomed in too much, those get tossed right away.

520 Slick on April 28th, 2018

The wind today at the 520 Slick were not as strong as the forecast predicted. But a lot of fun and some air was still had here. No sooner do I get there and I can take this series of pictures.
Yup, I finally have started to turn your action shots into animated gifs for you. If you can;t right click and save this, let me know, I'll send it to you. I have a major backlog of these to do, If you happen to have a IMG_# that is of you and you want to have it animated, let me know I will get it made ASAP for you.

Here, pictured above, We have Tim of 321 kiteboarding taking out a little tike for a lesson.

I could feel the winds direction constantly changing. I know it was frustrating for the kiters, I'd watch many of them come in to do a stunt and suddenly the wind is gone. Sometimes at best they could only do little stunts. But that didn't stop them from trying.

Oh and to paraphrase Ghostbusters, Don't cross the lines! One kiter spent about 1/2 an hour trying to get his kite back together. The other kiter did try his best to avoid the incident, but accidents do happen. I wish I had taken pictures, but it was a mess. But in the end, he was finally able to get up and do some foiling. During stressful times like that, I probably would have been cursing just as much.

Here are some of the foilers today in action

From what I saw today, it looks like this guy wins the highest jump today, that is of those who I caught on film.
A few honorable mentions

Now if only the board didn't try to make it's own signature move.

It kinda looks like Good Breeze has a new instructor. Granted, I have only been taking pics here for 2 months, but I don't recognize him.

He is just a friend I haven't met yet. All in due time.

Remember, there is truly only one person you are competing against and that is yourself. Keep trying your best, The pro's started out just like you are, at the beginning. Keep at it an you will be greater than you were before.
